A woman’s health journey is closely tied to her hormones, from puberty to menopause. Hormonal imbalances bring physical and emotional challenges that affect your overall well-being, but you don’t have to navigate them alone.
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to help improve women’s hormonal health. It’s a holistic approach that works by harmonising your body’s energy, known as Qi, to relieve hormonal imbalances and the symptoms that come with them.
Acupuncture works by reducing stress and improving blood flow, particularly to your reproductive organs, which helps regulate hormones and restore balance. It’s a natural way to address issues like pain, irregular cycles, and even more complex hormonal imbalances.
Heavy/painful/missing/irregular periods

Any symptoms that occur cyclically with your period – including digestive changes, fatigue, bloating or weight gain, nausea or vomiting.

Jess will start by getting to know you—your health history, goals, and any hormonal concerns you have. This initial conversation sets the stage for a treatment plan that’s tailored to you. Then, we’ll dive into a detailed hormonal assessment to understand your cycle, symptoms like PMS or menopausal discomfort, and anything else that may be affecting your hormones.
Based on what we find, Jess will create a treatment plan that targets the root causes of your hormonal imbalances. Using acupuncture, she’ll focus on specific points in your body to restore balance and relieve symptoms. Acupuncture is all about promoting the free flow of Qi, which can help with mood swings, fatigue, and other hormonal disruptions. In addition to acupuncture, she’ll offer practical advice on nutrition and lifestyle changes to support your hormonal health. Once the needles are in, they stay in for 20-30mins, giving your body time to integrate the treatment.
It’s recommended to have ongoing sessions to keep your hormones in balance and support your well-being long-term.
Jess is committed to understanding your whole health picture, not just focusing on the symptoms. She’ll work with you to create a plan that addresses both the immediate discomforts and the root causes of your hormonal imbalances, using acupuncture, nutritional supplement and herbal remedies where needed.
